Hopefully this is the beginning of a beautiful and wonderful relationship as we go through hardships, successes, goal making and milestones together. Today is the day I tell my biggest secret and hopefully inspire you to come back tomorrow to learn a bit more on how to lose weight and change the bad habits that are weighing you down (it isn’t just the pounds but your attitude as well!). First things first, I recommend you click on that happy little “About Me” button to your right. That way you can get to know me a little bit better without me having to repeat too much here. Ok… you back yet? Did I scare you off? Or do you feel a little bit inspired that you too can change your life? Good! That’s what I was hoping for. So as you know by now I was at a very bad, unhealthy weight that was keeping me from doing the things that I love and things that I wanted to love doing. All I wanted to do was chill on the couch and be lazy all the time, but I was getting fed up quickly. I no longer enjoyed riding horses because it was uncomfortable for me. I did not like going out for walks. I did not like swimming (even though it was my favorite thing to do as a child but being overweight does not help the whole bathing suit wearing process). It was just very sad that my favorite activities had been pushed aside because food meant more to me than going outside.
Now there is always a reason for why you became overweight in the first place. A lot of the reason is because you have turned to food for comfort (like I do), but there are other reasons. You may have gained a little when becoming pregnant. You may have gained because of an injury that didn’t allow you to keep exercising at the pace you were used to. There are so many different reasons why. I am going to be discussing more about the emotional side of gaining weight and losing weight because that’s where I am coming from, but the recipes, tips, and exercises can be used for everyone! By no means am I a professional and results may vary depending on the person. This blog is to help others but also to keep me accountable too.
So anyway, back to the reasons of becoming overweight. You really have to come to terms with this before you can start making any drastic changes. If you don’t address the problem, you will never find a permanent solution. You will keep yo-yo dieting until you give up dieting completely and live a life that is not to your full potential. That is your first task. Identify why you want to change.
I will give my account on how I made the change from eating to exercising tomorrow! I feel like I don’t want to overwhelm everyone all at once with too much information! Or burn myself out. So check on in tomorrow or have updates sent directly to your email by putting in your email address in on the right!
I look forward to hearing from you and hope together we can reach our goals!
