I Am Fed Up With…

I am fed up with myself. June definitely was not a very good month in terms of weight loss and I only have my eating habits to blame. Even though I have been fairly active, I used that as an excuse to eat way more than I should. I forgot how quickly calories add up and so I am back to counting calories once again. I am going to do this. I am back to feeling motivated and ready to take on the world. I could feel my body changing for the worse again with the poor decisions I was making, and it was making it harder to exercise. I am going to nip that in the butt before it gets out of control. To help keep myself on goal, I made a schedule for the month of July. It is not too strict and allows flexibility, but there are some things I want to accomplish every single day.

July Goal List

The Rules Start With This… Once again, Pinterest is changing my life

Mondays

– No Meat

– Yoga

– Run 1 to 1.5 Miles

– Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred

I am finally going to do this for a whole month starting this coming Sunday.

Tuesdays

– Run 1 – 1.5 miles

– 30 Day Shred

Wednesdays

– Run 3 – 4 miles

– 30 Day Shred

Thursdays

– Run 1 – 1.5 miles

-30 Day Shred

Fridays

– 30 Day Shred

Saturday/Sunday

– 30 Day Shred First Thing in the Morning

-Hiking/Walking/Enjoying the Outdoors

That is mostly just what I plan to do at a minimum my exercise for the day. I am also going to be haying and horseback riding on top of that. I have 2 months to lose 15 pounds so I can get below the 200’s. Besides working out here are some of my other goals:

I plan on counting my calories every single day with a cheat day once a week. And by cheat day, mostly just one meal that day I can have that I normally would not. This will probably coincide with my “Eat Out Once A Week Meal.” That only counts for restaurants not going over to a friend’s place and having a BBQ or dinner there.

Also, I am only allowed one small dessert once a week. Probably will be a small bowl of ice cream, and it probably will not be every single week.

As stated above, Monday will be Meatless. I definitely need to incorporate more vegetables into my diet. I can have as much veggies as I want but really need to work on how much meat I have been eating. It has gotten a little bit out of control lately. Hopefully keeping track of everything will make this easier as well.

I need to stay motivated. I have been going strong for awhile now so it makes sense that I kind of hit a wall. I am no woman of steel, but I definitely need to stay determined if I plan to make it at least close to my goal weight by the end of the year. I want to go back to school finally feeling awesome about myself. One of the hardest parts of being in college before was my social anxiety was through the roof because I had no  confidence. A lot of the lack of self esteem really came from my weight and feeling uncomfortable. It is awkward when you have a hard time fitting in the chairs at the college. You try to sit as far to the back as possible because you don’t want other people to see you, and then I spent the whole time hating myself instead of really paying attention to the lecture.

I am going to OWN July. I am going to feel awesome and enjoy my summer. I am changing my life.  I will post on my blog every single day to keep me focus and say what I accomplished that day. The posts will not always be long, but I have to do this.

  1. I like your idea of treating yourself to a small dessert weekly. I tried that and it was tough for me because I looooooove sweets and I use to bake a lot for profit. One of the things that helped me was to find a really pretty bowl that I could fill up and not feel guilty about filling it up. I have several zebra print bowls that are about 1 cup in size. Makes me feel good to eat out those. I love reading your posts. Kick July’s bootay! Whoooooohooooooo!

    • It’s just… summer and I just can’t see not having some ice cream occasionally. I don’t want to be too restrictive that I become fighting this healthy living! Good idea with the bowl though! I like that!

      • I switched to sorbet, like reaaaallly good quality sorbet and it helped to keep the calorie count low. Frozen yogurt is good. I still eat gelato/custards, but watch the servings. I think you’re going to do just fine.

  2. Love the meatless monday (try happyherbivore.com if you want some good recipes)

Also remember the have rest days! They are just as important as work out days! I lose more weight when I take a day or two off then when I power through weeks at a time. This plan looks awesome though, don’t beat yourself up if you can’t stick to it 100% though. You can do it! 🙂

    • Thank you so much for the website! That will definitely come in handy! I know it is going to be a lot of hard work… but I definitely know I can do it. I at least want do the work out DVD every single day. On some days, I know I probably won’t run when I need to… but I definitely want to do my best!

      • Everything in moderation, on the days you don’t run when you think you “need’ too, you probably really needed a rest. Listen to your body.

    • Oh awesome! I know MFP has some horseback riding in their exercise listing… but that is awesome too! Horseback riding is one of my favorite exercises!! =D
