I think the one thing people dread about “dieting” is the fact that all you eat are carrot sticks and salads. With changing my whole entire lifestyle, I realized this was not true whatsoever. There are so many possibilities in the world of healthy food, but the salad is definitely one I have been avoiding. I don’t know what it is but I very rarely crave a salad. It just seems like so much work! Cutting up vegetables and what not. Yet this Salad A Day Challenge has gotten me really motivated — and I love competitions! Even though this really isn’t a competition exactly… but that is how I view it. If other people can manage, then I can do it too! Salads are pretty freaking amazing though, because there is just so much that can be done with them! So many different types! So technically, salads are not boring! Who’da thunk it? Best part is they are filled with so much nutritional thingies! And we all love nutritional thingies. So if you follow me on the Facebook, you have already seen today’s salad so prepare yourself for some repeats!
So who else is doing the salad a day challenge? If you aren’t, you should be. Because it’s good for you. And I care about you.
Since today is also my meatless day, I am having a veggie burger and a sweet potato for dinner! I am blowing this weekend out of the water so it never even happened. I would love to be at 197 by the end of the week… but we shall see. With not being able to do much in the exercise department, it might be a little difficult to accomplish. Fingers crossed!
