Today marks 2 weeks since I had my jaw surgery, and I am so excited to be starting my third week of recovery. I almost half way done with this. I am so exhausted with the liquid diet already. I miss chewing and being able to lick my lips and stick out my tongue. I am already thinking of all the food I want to chow down as soon as I can chew. Also, I am planning my shopping spree after I am healed. I am so excited to get a new wardrobe and have a bunch of clothes that actually fit me. I want to look stunning when I go back to school and radiate confidence. That’s right! I am off to school starting in January and I am starting my journey on becoming a nutritionist. I am so excited!
My recovery has been going pretty awesome. I have been maintaining my weight around 190 right now which is a good thing. It means my body is getting enough energy from liquids to heal without having to take any nutrition from elsewhere in my body (which is not a good thing). I am hoping by maintaining a healthy diet that is giving my body enough energy without relying on store fat, I won’t gain as much weight when I start eating solids again. I am really afraid of being out of control once the wires comes out. I don’t want my weight to shoot back up and then having my metabolism not know how to lose weight without the liquid diet. These are the things I worry about.
