Weigh-in Friday and 2 Challenges!


Well hello people!

First I would like to tell you about 2 challenges I will be participating in so maybe you can join along in at least one of them! The first challenge is actually being put on by my sister-in-law with some of her close friends. Everyone has donated $25 dollars to go towards the pot and whoever loses the biggest percentage of their weight by June 1st gets it all! You can bet I am highly motivated to kick some butt on this one. Definitely need you guys to keep me in line!


Challenge Numero Two-o (yeah I just did that) is the reboot of the Salad-A-Day Challenge started by L @ Trying Not to Be Fat. Basically it requires that you eat one salad for one meal during the day for a whole entire week. I have told the husband about it and he actually jumped on board! So starting Monday, that is what we are going to do. Some may not be as creative as others but I am definitely going to do my best to make some decent salads! Anyone who wants to join, join! Lets make salads delicious and not boring!

Now drum roll please! The moment you have all been waiting for! The dreaded weigh-in DUN DUN DUN.

Starting Weight: 267

Previous Weight: 188

Today’s Weight: 187

Lost 1 pound this week! Not too shabby. Not too shabby at all!

Today is going to be a busy day for me with a long day of classes, horseback riding, and then going to the gym. I would really like to get to 180 by the beginning of May. Here is to a successful and busy weekend– Full steam ahead! Choo Choo!

  1. I think the salad a week is a great idea! I might even try it myself. Thanks for the tip! And good luck on being down to 180 lbs by the beginning of May. 🙂

    • Definitely should be interesting… I am not a huge salad fan, so trying to come up with ways to be creative without getting bored or disgusted.

      • I find the salads I make at home are never quite as good as what I get in restaurants. The dressing is the key. Good luck. Look forward to seeing what you come up with.

  2. I like the first challenge because you get some money in return hehe :). I like the second challenge but I really wouldn’t be able to do it every single day with my busy schedule. However I will try it someday. Finally well done on losing that pound xx

  3. Woohoo! Grats on 1 pound down! Your husband is awesome for joining you on the salad challenge. I think I’ll be sitting this one out. But I’ve done those challenges like the first one where you compete with others to lose the most weight. They did that at a school where I used to teach. It’s pretty motivating! Good luck!

    • I know! I was totally surprised when he said he would do it with me! “Wait what?” and then he just sprouted out ideas! What a great guy. haha

      And I am hoping to make a dent and stay motivated with my weight loss… but I am going up against women that just had babies and are currently breastfeeding. :p

      • Oh yeah I can see why that would be a challenge, but hey don’t let it get you down. At least you know if any of them beat you that it was an unfair advantage. Doesn’t breast feeding make the pound drop pretty fast, or at least make them drop a lot of weight?

      • Yeah, breastfeeding burns a lot of calories since their body is working to produce adequate amount of milk. Gosh darn it. I need a baby. 😛
